"Urban mood" is an abstract work characterised by a form of "lyrical expressionism": in fact, the pictorial representation seeks to elevate the spirituality of each individual, to capture that inner, spiritual aspect that the chromatic element communicates. It is a very sensitive representation of a beautiful nature, of idealising aspects. Within it are gathered all those experiences that man experiences that bring spiritual pleasure: music, religion, art and all those components that lead to a higher dimension. Abstract art is perhaps the most difficult for the general public to understand and appreciate and it is a pity because this art stands to poetry as realistic works stand to prose. "Abstract" derives from the Latin 'abstrahere' meaning to separate, this separation of elements leads to an inevitable departure from recognisable forms. It is the search for a new and original conception of beauty, which does not look at reality, but at colours, shapes, light, in the purest and most elementary way.

Norma Carolina is a self-taught painter. She lives in Italy where she has a studio/workshop open to anyone who wants to see her work. She paints with acrylics and paints on canvas. Her passion for abstract painting comes from the search for aesthetics in every fragment of everyday life. Indeed, in her paintings there are no messages...only aesthetic pleasure. What inspires her are urban atmospheres that she translates into indefinite forms and vibrant colors. Always recurring in her works is the theme of never-perfect stripes and always undefined strokes. In each painting there is, moreover, always an "unexpected" detail. Although it may not seem so at first glance, there is actually an almost obsessive attention to detail in his painting. Precision in imprecision, where nothing is accidental. His characteristic feature is the aesthetics of imperfection.
