Where I live, we have these beautiful and dangerous mountain lions come right up to our front doors. They are looking for small dogs, house cats, goats, sheep, etc. I live in the beautiful mountains near Park City and I love being out in nature, but I do need to consider what I would do if I was hiking in the mountains and came across one of these big cats. This painting is an addition to my Utah local wildlife collection. The energy I feel from this cougar's gaze is powerful and intimidating. His eyes are bright and piercing, full of intelligence and curiosity. The fur is a rich, golden-brown color, with dark spots that create a striking pattern. The lion's ears are perked up, listening to the sounds around him. His whiskers are painted in delicate, wispy strokes, adding texture and detail to his face. The fur is carefully rendered, with a combination of bold and subtle strokes that create a sense of depth and movement.
