About The Artwork
The underlying diaphanous, slightly floral texture gives the series "VIRGIN GARDEN" an fundamental timeless and spaceless existence. The series comprises six works. The painting "VIRGIN GARDEN : Early Morning" comes unstreched and unframed, rolled in a tube: the original size of the canvas is 240x164cm (94.5x64,5in). Considering 3cm (1.2in) on each side for the side edges of the stretcher frame , the dimensions of the stretched canvas would be in the range of 228x152cm (90x60in). The canvas is thinly coated with layers of wax, mixed oil and india ink. Multiply processing with gentle scratching and flaming gives this artwork an extraordinary surface. Delicately signed by the artist with his initials cR in a corner (allows hanging any way you want). Shipped rolled and securely packaged in an extremely durable double-walled PVC tube.
