VISHNU- THE PRESERVER Painting

The Third of the Holy Trinity. Vishnu, The Preserver. I wanted to decode Hindu mythology from a logical standpoint. I am by no means a religious fanatic , I just happen to take deep curiosity in how it effects culture and behaviour. When we look at it beyond the emotional we see why we see what we see. Why the snakes, why the Garuda etc.Well, They all seem to have purpose . Its symbolic. It may look random but its very well put together. Snake - Sarpadristi, short term vision , goals, Quick, insticts, tactics Garuda- Garuddristi- Long term vision, slow, patient, wisdom etc And how Lord Vishnu can teach us what to use when. Both are as important. Flower- Padma for appreciation, Gada- for discipline Shanka for making a presence and Chakra to remind everything is cyclical. Lord vishnu's eyes are always open. He takes several avatars in every yuga, ever present and always catering to the need of that particular time period. Religion isnt just myth or folklore.It is as logical as science and Geometry. The people had it figured out centuries ago.
