"Valentines Day (Liquid Vogue)" Painting

For as long as I can remember I would spend hours drawing, painting, designing and experimenting and would always sign my work "By CJ" for Caroline Jane. I started experimenting with various types of resins and pigments (Liquid Glass) when I was working on a project with a designer. They wanted a feature that looked like glass but fluid and multidimensional. Liquid glass turned out to be the perfect solution. Discovering a new outlet for my creativity was a life changer and led me to taking on commissioned art work and developing my own collections. I love working with resins because its messy, unpredictable and you can end up with something completely different than you planned , like life ! My greatest passion is creating art that tells a story but the story depends on who is looking at it and what comes into the mind and heart when looking at it, just like when you have a group of you staring at the clouds in the sky, you can all be looking at the same cloud but each see and feel something different. Without a doubt I inherited my creativity and work ethic from my beautiful Mum, Susan Ward, who was a well known talented florist and business woman. Mum ran the busy family town centre Flower shop in Bolton, Lancashire, while also bringing up my brother and I , alone for several years , after my Father passed away when we were very young. All her hard work gave us a lovely childhood, private education and lifelong inspiration, which I will always be so grateful for.
