ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by many trips to Tuscany to paint en plain air (all'aperto), in this case, near Montepulciano, actually a village known as Valiano. My style is a combination of drawing and painting. Here the drawing phase shows through as an under and overpainted drawing. Stacatto splashes of color reveal the Fall colours and atmospheric conditions, play of darks and lights.
