From the Vehicle Portraits series, in this the bicycles, painted on chalk-coated cotton canvas, acquire a dual role: beams of light that strike the object in a physical way and that is scientifically demonstrable, although that is the least importantly, it unfolds the subject, the bicycles, the object of the description, with lights and shadows, transforming said science, into a spiritual simulation, in how a spectrum would be seen that should only be validated by consciousness and not so much by empirical science. The busy journey of existence: the passage of time is real, not negative. We know that someday we will no longer be there but our actions will survive. This can fill life with joy and color. The bicycle is the representation of the goodness of the human being, of his ingenuity and durability.
