This is one of the works comprising the series "365". It was a project where I painted one work every day for the length of one year, May 2012 to May 2013. No restriction was made regarding style, technique or subject matter. It was a kind of visual yearly diary, or a way to put into practice the quote attributed to the ancient painter Apelles: Not a day without a line! This particular painting is the work for the 39th day. It is a still life with broken vintage floor tiles. It is an acrylic painting on wood, which has been primed with a gesso mixed with fine marble dust, thus giving an impression of a wall painting. A cerificate is provided with the work. It is unframed but ready to hang.
