I love the light mood of this painting and hope the viewer feels the same. In our busy lives there are often challenging moments it is comforting to find a painting that takes my thoughts away from reality, which this does for me. Exploring colour, pattern and mark making this work marks the beginning of a new way of looking at things. Opposites collide in this work where masses of colour are contrasted with delicate squiggles of paint, colours are pushed on top of one another to create a colourful composition that sits within a spacious white surrounding.
