ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Walls in Venice" is an artwork part of "Industrial chic" collection. Flavia Birsan captured the carnival atmosphere of the walls of Venice, which are full of mystery, seduction and decorations. The artist used acrylic colors (non-toxic), in a bright palette (blue, red, turquoise, orange, dark grey) and worked with palette knives. The colors combine, become unitary and pieces are found in all frames. The work is textured (the artist working layer by layer) and has a glossy finish, in contrast to the abstract style. The artwork has painted sides, it is a ready to hang piece (the canvas is already stretched on a wooden frame).

Flavia Birsan is a Romanian contemporary abstract artist, currently living and creating Warsaw, Poland, who has exhibited her art nationally and internationally and her paintings can be found in private collections around the world. Attracted to the gestural painting style, the artist continuously experiments with various supports and techniques, which explore minimalism and vivid colors. Flavia seeks to capture the essence of the emotional impressions she takes from her everyday life and to translate it on her paintings. She creates impasto effects with palette knives and large brushes employing acrylics and charcoal.
