Portrait of the Naval Officer Walter Yeo, believed to be the first to receive reconstructive plastic surgery from Sir Harold Gillies, with his surgical illustrations sewn into the canvas. Yeo was injured while fighting in the Battle of Jutland, and underwent numerous operations between 1917 and 1938.
