Washed Up 5 Painting

As a follow-up to one of my recent experiments using a view of Opononi beach in New Zealand I started an expanding series of 10 x 10 cm ink and watercolour illustrations. Within my chosen title, "Washed Up", I explore stories told by things that we may find on beaches from time to time. Finding such things allows one to pick up a multitude of storytelling threads, some of which may end sad, some happy. It is for the viewer to decide which they can endure, because immersing oneself in these stories may come with an obligation to face in real life. This illustration comes in an off-white mount and can be obtained either on its own or together with other illustrations in this series. If you are interested in buying a set, I can change the format of the mount to include more than one image.
