About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by giant water lilies in a tropical palm house pond in Kew Gardens, a botanical garden in London. The water lilies with their large surfaces offer a strong contrast to the reflections in the pond. Rosanna enjoys visiting the botanical gardens whenever she is in London and has some fond childhood memories of the gardens and their palm houses.

Born in 1988 in London, England, into a family legacy of gardening and an interior decorator mother, Rosanna has been painting utopian scenes since early childhood. Rosanna earned a M.Sc. in Chemistry from LMU Munich as well as further education in Management which led to a career in the pharmaceutical industry. Having established a full-time art practice in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2019, Rosanna is also a board member to the co-op gallery Frankfurter Künstlerclub.
