Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Oil, Household, Pencil, PVA on Canvas.

A sense of being enfolded in a landscape inspired this work. There is a sense of this enfolding in the painting. There are various ways of using paint here, and various mediums. Paint has been poured, and painted on with a brush. There are different thicknesses as well as different types of paint. The vegetation for example has been painted in oil. An animal has been 'brought out' from the accidental shapes of poured acrylic and household paint. There is a trace of PVA where an object was stuck to the canvas, and the object's trace in the paint. On the right-hand side the canvas is wrapped around the stretcher (see detail) and this heightens the sense of enfolding.
