I was on a retreat painting buddhist meditation sculptures, and after painting many Mahakala which represent the protector quality, I went outside and found everything moved like his flame-like beard and eyebrows. It gave me the impression that everything is just simply clear energy and manifestations of things we don`t see from our ordinary perspective. Together with my son we often find shapes in clouds. I used some of his monster drawings to create the mysterious sky.
