Painting peace, joy and serenity – one flower at a time. “I wholeheartedly believe in the restorative powers of art. In today’s busy world we know that fear, guilt and anxiety can set in. Through my oil paintings and murals I hope to bestow a moment of stillness and beauty to my viewers and collectors. “ Barbara Eberhart has been refining her flawless blended oil paint style during her 35 year career as a professional artist, spanning from Honolulu to Santa Barbara. She is most known for her elegant florals, which celebrate the lushness of the natural world and express her love for life. She is devoted to bringing joy and beauty to her collectors and viewers through her work, and believes in art as a spiritual experience which nourishes the soul. Barbara spent 30 years living and working in Hawaii before she moved to Santa Barbara in 2014, There she was awarded the State of Hawaii Acquisition Award, where her work was purchased for the state’s permanent collection. She has also been a commissioned artist for the interior designer showcase, the Hawaii Parade of Homes, and was commended by Governor Linda Lingle for her volunteer efforts in art for the Hawaii State Women’s Penitentiary. In Santa Barbara, she has already had a solo exhibit at the Faulkner West, as well as shown in numerous juried and group shows, and teaches art at the Santa Barbara City College, Center for Lifelong Learning. Her work is in countless collections throughout Hawaii and California."
