What is True Love? Painting

Ever since I was five I have had passionate visions about Art. I can’t explain the feeling but I love to design, sew and paint. My foray into fashion started at sixteen but I did not do much art at this age. I graduated from the Art Institute Of Miami and pursued fashion for many years. During this period at school I did travel extensively and was immersed in various cultures which broadened my interests and knowledge. But, there was always a deep longing to paint. I can paint all day long and I never tire, it is a passion so deeply ingrained in me. I consider myself to be an Avant Garde painter as I push boundaries in my paintings. I experiment with color, shapes and designs. I love to listen to soulful music while I paint, persons like Bocelli and beautiful violin music. My artwork reflects my traverses in realms. My paintings are experimental pieces as I try to navigate through the realms. There are realms for every single possibility that exists in life and, there are millions. What Makes My ART Different I am considered manic depressive and I don't paint just because I love it, I paint because I need it, just like air. I am a master pattern maker and cutter and these skills help me in creating and finishing my art. What I conceptualize on paper or canvases I create in realms. Don't judge my paintings by their online presence. I have horrible photography skills and I am still learning, but, I prefer to do it all myself and put my full expression into everything you see. I am a painter that expresses myself in different media, paper, oil canvas and acrylic canvas. The different media conveys the intensities or in contrast the softness of realms, the colors also project the mood I am in at the time. Education After completing high school Art at Providence Girls' School, I went on to complete A' Levels Fine Art at Holy Name Convent and lastly to Miami International University Of Art & Design of Miami. Events Miami Fashion Week 2006 Exhibitions I have exhibited in several local exhibitions in Trinidad and Tobago and I started when I was just seventeen. I look forward to sharing a piece of my collection with you.
