I don't remember the first time I saw it, but I know I caught mid-way through on TV and just saw Doc Brown and was like, what is this? Remember, this was before internet so I just waited for a commercial break and learned it was called "Clue", to which then I realized the names from the board game. Being one of my favorite games, I watched. And fell in love, more so from the dumbs gags than the story line cuz I can promise you most of it went over my head. But this movie just holds a special place in my heart for just teleporting me back to a time when I would just lay on the floor in front of the family TV and watch new-to-me movies on TV. The painting is from the scene where the police officer is locked in the Billiard Room and he claims he arrest them for murder. I like this composition as a way to capture the entire cast in one scene where they're all takin up somewhat even (sorry Prof) real estate in frame. As I do, I made the abstract background based off the original background of the mansion. Looking at a framed piece of art above the mantel framed by candelabras. I put rough swatches behind the bust of each character to represent their code names and bring a bit of the board game to the film's image. Personally I love this piece as it displays an array of emotions from each face and can easily give you an idea of their reaction to being accused by an officer. See more at !

I don't know precisely when it started, but I've considered myself an artist for as long as I can remember. As a child, I recall spending afternoons with my grandmother, sketching faces and whatever random superhero or Ninja Turtle was in my mind at the time. My grandmother being the only person in my life at the time that could 'wow' me with her art. She would freehand these incredible profiles of anyone in front of her or often from memory. As I grew through schooling, I always had art on the schedule and I almost always had a sketchbook with me. I didn't seriously get into painting until my early teens, but I've had a love affair with paint ever since. I always made it a point to find time to create something each year. And I would use my abilities to give friends and family members gifts when I couldn't think of a material item to buy them. There was something powerful in creating rather than just selecting off a shelf and being able to share it with someone. I love the idea of offering my skills to commissions and helping people find joy in the craft and capturing a little bit of magic on a canvas for them to share with their friends and family. I'm currently working on building a personal portfolio and I want to share them with you. Using my love of movies and comics to help find inspiration, but I also enjoy just being able to capture a moment of emotion in time. Using the memories of my Grandmother as guidance, I hope to showcase worthwhile portraits and other images to spark emotion and nostalgia for you to have in your living space, or to share with someone you care about.
