ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is a framed diptych. The top portion shows the damage above ground caused by fracking, i.e., volcanoes, earthquakes, ground swelling, etc. The lower half is the damage caused underground showing the violence happening beneath us. These two paintings are hinged together and framed as one painting with a simple wood frame painted black.
