About The Artwork

This collection looks at the stark contrast of the constant news frenzy of death and loss alongside the relentless bloom of spring. The abrupt gestural and often harsh contrast in the work striving to represent each of these with equal fervor. Florals, a continued focus in Ariana’s work, emerge from dark or chaotic fields to proudly represent an everlasting sign of hope.

Ariana Schiff is an artist living and working in Portola Valley, California. While her most widespread artistic influence is shared with the world through her work for Apple, her large format abstract paintings express the true wild essence of her nature and broadly aim to capture the inherent complexity of life. Her private work has been featured in group and solo shows, while her commercial work has won numerous international awards.  The most recent collection of Ariana’s work over the past year speaks to the bold dichotomies in our society that existed during the Covid-19 pandemic. During long walks through her neighborhood she noticed that while the world of humanity was in a state of anxiety and grief, nature was taking a moment of meditative bliss. The flowers erupted in a state of joy, gardens burst to life, the smog in the Bay Area had reduced to an all time low.
