Pomm was born in Los Angeles but was raised by her French mother and grandmother. She was named after the French word for "apple", with the pomme "e" removed in order to ensure its correct pronounciation. While in college, Pomm studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence. There, she fell in love with the architecture, light, and color found in the south of France. Returning inspired, she used the medium of watercolor to capture her European experience. Her watercolors have received numerous awards and her piece "Unspoken Courage," created in honor of those fallen during 9/11, now hangs in the headquarters of the NYFD. Most recently, Pomm has expanded her artistic exploration to oil painting. Inspired by the Renaissance and Impressionist masters of the past, she strives to capture beauty, spirit, and motion in her portraits.
