Wild Apple Blossom Painting

Thanks for looking at my painting. I painted this in Normandy France just before I left/moved which came about after a lot of heartache and mixed emotions. The tree was a crab apple my mother bought me when I moved in and I had nurtured it for 15 years. I loved the bright red fruit in the cold white winters when there was hardly any colour in the garden and the beautiful blossom on a warm sunny day. In a way I was saying good buy to my old life and the gift from my mother. I was dreaming of my new life, for easier times and a great future which included concentrating on creating, painting and building a career as an artist. When I look at it I dream for the future which is magical, happy and bright. The painting is in oils in an impasto style with a slight natural texture to the blossom and bark. Stretched quality canvas, not framed but can still be hung as is. If framed it would suit a white or primary colour contemporary floating frame for example or would equally lend itself well to an ornate gilt antique style frame. Signed on back. Zoe
