I've always loved the loose, charisma of a poppy. The year I painted this I had planted a row of about 8 poppies and enjoyed watching a new one bloom one day, while another died the next. They came and went so rapidly I had to celebrate them by simply illustrating when they graced me with their presence.

Leigh is originally from the little state of Vermont, has lived in a handful of places across the US and is now currently residing in Colorado. She is the mother of a 2 year daughter, wife, and caretaker of 2 Australian shepherd mixes and a cat who somehow puts up with all of them.
