Willie Nelson "God's Problem Child" by Marc Potocsky Painting

"God's Problem Child" Being a professional musician most of my adult life, living in CT, NY, CA, and Nashville,TN. I have a love and apperciatiting all styles of the midst of doing a music icon mural project for a client a friend of mine had a photo of Willie she took at a concert. The moment I saw it I knew I had to paint him.I started the project in Grisaille (Black & White,tone on tone) on unstretched canvas which gave me the availability to roll up the piece and to easily take it to different locations to work on it over periods of time.The way the stage lights touched on his face, arm, hand and his hair compelled me to paint him.Once the Grisaille was finished I added color with acrylic paint and finished it off with a bit of colored pencils.I gave Mr.Nelson a print of this painting.
