My intention when painting is to open a window that will transport viewers to a place in their childhood, to a trip, or to a special place, real or imaginary. Each landscape has a history, one we may have read or dreamt about, or have created. A landscape has memory without limits, it is built on our recollections; each landscape is perceived and interpreted differently by different people.

When we look at a black and white scene and try to find its meaning, we search for an interpretation stored in our memory. In a black and white scene, form, tone, and texture acquire greater relevance. Ultimately, my intention is to open small windows that take us somewhere else.

I was born in Montevideo, I am 48 years old and I work in graphic design since I was 18 years old. Graduated from the Design career of the Universidad del Trabajo. I have been Art Director for over 25 years and I have been awarded in local and international festivals. Although most of my professional experiences are focused on the area of design, I was always interested in art as a graphic representation and that is why, from my beginnings, I also leaned towards experimenting with photography and painting. About my job: My intention when painting is to open a window that will transport viewers to a place in their childhood, to a trip, or to a special place, real or imaginary.
