Born in Lancashire now living in Brighton E. Sussex. A textile artist/designer producing hand painted and printed silk embroideries also acrylic paintings on canvas. Inspiration for my work comes from nature and the environment.The rich textures, patterns, colours and the details which often go unnoticed at first glance are main themes in my work.I choose to draw attention to the beauty, which is caused by the passage of time and exposure to natural elements. Photography is the first stage in the development of my work. For my textile pieces,the captured images are either hand painted with dyes or printed onto silk. The next process is to embroider and embellish by hand and/or machine to create a quilted almost 3D effect. Exhibited in London and the South East, Spain and USA. Member of The Sussex Guild
