About The Artwork

Acrylic painting on linen canvas. The picture has painted sides in pastel gray. Painting is covered with a satin varnish. Signature on the reverse (title, author, year). Painting is ready to hang. The image is a part of the open cycle "Winter city" started in 2014. Canvas on which the picture was painted is of high and very solid quality and paint that was used is from the series Talens Amsterdam. The canvas was previously completely covered with gesso with flecks, thanks to which the image gained an interesting texture. The colors in the image are mainly diffrent shades of gray broken with delicate purple and white mixed with pink and orange. City lanterns spread light on the snowy road. Work is full of calmness, but the sleepy city is still alive. Despite the snowy weather, the hero of the picture looks someone in a hurry. There can be many interpretations of an image. Painting can be suitable for the living room, bedroom or office. The painting can also be an interesting proposition for a Christmas gift for a loved one. Size of a painting: 50x40cm Year of a painting: 2018

Agnieszka Turek was born in 1994. From an early age she was interested in drawing. This fascination turned into experiments with other artistic techniques including oil pastels, charcoal, and acrylic paint. She paint what she thinks is important or sometimes simply interesting. She's trying to put some magic, love and other pleasent feelings into her artworks. She's also leaving some space for reflection and daily rediscovering the painting. The most important is the communication between man and artwork. If someone is able to be interested in painting and it evokes emotions it can be called real piece of art. Her paintings are decorations of many houses in Poland and abroad. Artworks are unique and one-of-a-kind, as they are inspired by imagination, personal experiences, and emotions. Each piece is created with a specific theme or concept in mind, and they are created with a whole heart and soul to bring them to life on canvas.
