ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The grey mix design is influenced by my love for HBOs Game of Thrones. Yes, in this case, art inspires art. This is the related to the precursor piece I created , 'Bleak.' Both pieces aim to capture the calm of winter; a welcome respite in the ever-spring-busy-ness of modern life. I employ acrylic on wood as I love the texture created by wood grain. This is a wood face screwed onto a wood frame. The shape of the Phillips screw heads are visible under the paint. The piece hangs by its upper frame board.
