Woman from Stockholm Painting

Paola Buffagni was born in Modena in 1973, where she currently lives and works. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, than in fashion and stylism at the Burgo institute in Milan. Paola Buffagni has worked as a stylist and now devotes herself entirely to painting. Paola quickly made a name for herself as a talented artist whose cartoonish images were both classical and contemporary at the same time. She has had a number of solo and group exhibitions in Italy and in other European countries. Paola Buffagni portrays young women, often different from each other in features, colors, looks, but one thing that is always constant is the freshness and delicacy of their youth. Paola Buffagni portrays her peers with gentle brushstrokes, captures their expressions, their looks, their sweetness and even their fragility. In every young woman she found some characteristic of herself and fixed it on the canvas. In this research Paola Buffagni shows us herself, the type of woman in which she recognizes herself, the love for beauty both exterior and interior, her delicate and gentle soul and a clean way of looking at the world, art and the life.
