Inspired by the depth and emotion from the works of artists such as Francis Bacon and Michael Jean Basquiat, this emotive piece titled 'Tragic Play-Doh' plays with ideas of mixing both mark making and texts to imitate the emotion of a tragedy, whether that be physical or mental. The piece reads 'I FEEL LIKE PLAY-DOH AND I MIGHT DIE' along with 'SUGGESTING MORE' and 'skull & bones we aren't going home'. Textures mimic those of fluidity and of rigidity drawing the emotion from the viewer, as they delve into the depths of the canvas.

Zoe is currently pursuing an experimental abstract expressionist painting and writing practice in London that focuses on unconscious artistic energy, emotional confessionary writings, and naive style mark-making and drawing.
