Since the debut of her career, Cristina Passima has had a sustained professional activity both in her home country of Romania and internationally, thus accumulating a long experience in the organization and realization of projects in the public space as well as in major group and personal exhibitions. She is versed in all practices related to contemporary art, including work with teams of designers and architects as well as urban environment projects, each project being based on the realization of a real-scale module or reduced scale, as suitable for the exhibition space. Among her latest projects are "Reflections / Rainbow" – a traveling personal exhibition between Timisoara and Paris, for the “Saisons croisés” edition 2019, and "Bleu" – an installation designed for an open space, and selected in 2016 by HAROPA (Ports of Paris - Seine – Normandy), for the project "Reinventing the Seine". Between 2011 and 2015 she is the coordinator of the international project "Dialogue with the warriors of the Emperor Qin warriors” - EU and China sculpture show. Organized on the initiative of Qu Art - Contemporary and Modern Sculpture of Brussels - this traveling international exhibition toured throughout China, in eight museums of contemporary art, in 2012. Between 2013 and 2016 it was also exhibited in Europe: Tallinn, Lisbon, Sofia, Rotterdam, Prague, Bucharest, Paris, Luxembourg and Brussels. Cristina Passima’s work “The Endless Ribbon” was Romania’s entry to this international artistic event. Cristina Passima is fascinated by the sign, be it the graphic sign, painted or in volume. She started her artistic career with engravings (woodcuts and etchings) but her drawings and acrylic works on paper that have consecrated her as an artist. They can be described as simple yet striking images, in the neo-expressionist spirit. With collage she has introduced a tactile dimension to her works, acting as an invitation to dialogue. Adrian Guta - Art Critic, Senior Lecturer, Dean of the Faculty of History and Theory of Art, National University of the Arts, Bucharest Romanian contemporary sculpture Ianchelevici Museum, La Louvière, Belgium, 2007 In the second half of the 1990s, Cristina Passima began working on an environmental art project. It is an imposing complex, designed as a long route leading from the northern entrance of Bucharest to the center of the city.
