ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A human, and especially his portrait is the subject of my works. The figures I paint I choose for various reasons, because they are beautiful to me, they have a psychological depth to them, some fleeting emotion that has settled on their face for a while, or one of them I am friends with and has a special meaning for me. In the "Diversity" series, the diversity of the characters was important, because of where they come from, their culture, their religion, their skin color. It is what makes us unique and interesting as people, and that diversity is something positive. We don't have to and are not the same in any way, so this series is also about tolerance towards the other person, her otherness and her beauty because of it. After the purchase I will send the confirmation of authenticity along with the painting.

I live and work in Poland. I'm a finalist of an international competition, "Agora Gallery", New York. While I was still a student at the Academy of Fine Arts, I began to experiment with the language of contemporary art, its color form, theme. However, I always expressed it through painting and drawing primarily. But I longed for art that is literally beautiful, for its more illustrative form, color and simpler message, especially its content, so that it could reach many. Art is not only a form of self-expression, but a form that is also received by other people looking at it. I have always been interested in people. Scribbling reflexively on paper, there was an eye, a nose, a brow, an ear, and finally a whole face, which is undeniably a mirror of emotions. It is from it that one can read what hurts or pleases us. Without the face and all its elements we would be as if without a center, without a soul, without expression. A human, and especially his portrait is the subject of my works. The figures I paint I choose for various reasons, because they are beautiful to me, they have a psychological depth to them, some fleeting emotion that has settled on their face for a while, or one of them I am friends with and has a special meaning for me. We don't have to and are not the same in any way, so this series is also about tolerance towards the other person, her otherness and her beauty because of it. But human is not alone, he is surrounded by nature captured in the landscape, which we look at more or less carefully.
