ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This series explores the parts of ourselves when they feel ripped apart, destroyed, left in tatters. And then the inevitable healing that comes and the eventual appreciation for that pain, how it made you stronger, made you soar and the wisdom that comes from loving those seasons, even if only in hindsight. This piece uses sections of two different paintings on raw canvas sewn together, one using cottonwood seed and the other butterfly pea flower. Details include gold foil, stitched lines and paint markings.
