ABOUT THE ARTWORK
'acrobat' 1998. Theacrobat character is one of my first paintings, where i used no other reference rather than my own imagination to paint a person. What immediately captured my attention was the fact, that i didn't try to find whom or how to paint...it was like the image was there in the first place. As far as the theme, i was profoundly influenced by Picasso's saltimbanques family.
