Nothing lasts forever, including artworks. If art were eternal, it would hinder the progression of future artists. Our obsession with permanence stems from a fear of death, providing a false sense of security. Creating art intended to last forever serves as a shield against mortality. Impermanence, a core principle of Buddhism, highlights the transient nature of existence. Everything, from emotions to the natural world, undergoes continuous change and decay. I prefer my artworks, titled "All Flows," not to last indefinitely. I use natural earth and mineral pigments, water-based and free of preservatives, to fill the fabric. I cherish the vibrant colors during the artwork's creation and appreciate its gradual changes over time, including fading from light exposure or minor damage. The joy of creation is sufficient in itself.
