ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The painting based on a scene in the documentary "Encounters at the End of the World" (directed by Werner Herzog). In the video, the director showed that people are pretending they are in the storm, with buckets on their heads to keep them “blind". To stay together, they were all holding one rope while they were walking. The alienation I feel in the city suddenly seems so ironic in front of the unpredictable nature. Having this thought drives me to a new direction, I started looking for the absurdity in social reality.
