ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"Cafe" captures a fleeting yet profound moment in a café —a place where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. The painting focuses on a simple table and a glimpse of a woman's legs, drawing us into the quiet intimacy of a scene that could belong to anyone. The artist bathes the work in peaceful green tones, evoking a sense of calm and contemplation. This piece is more than just a snapshot of daily life; it's a meditation on the subtle beauty found in our routines. The café, a symbol of our shared human experience, becomes a sanctuary where time slows, and the simplicity of the moment is appreciated. "Everyday Serenity" invites you to pause, reflect, and find peace in the familiar scenes that make up the fabric of our lives.

Ruhulla Hasanzadeh is one of Azerbaijan’s leading young artists with widely recognized talents for painting, sculpting, illustration and conceptual art. Born into an artistic family in Baku (1993), Ruhulla quickly developed a passion for drawing. He was just 12 years old when, in 2005, his work was first featured in a public exhibition. A few months later, Ruhulla was featured in a book entitled “Talents of the 21st century”. He has been a member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences since 2008 and his early artworks featured in international exhibitions in Belgium, Russia and Turkey. Working with local and foreign painters, Ruhulla has taken part in several symposiums and projects organized in Icheri Sheher (Baku’s UNESCO-listed Old City) and at the Azerbaijan State Academy of the Fine Arts from which he is a graduate. More recent exhibition collaborations have included the ground-breaking 2014 ‘Invasion. Museum’ which thrust the work of Azerbaijan’s emerging young artists, designers and musicians into a series of Baku galleries. He contributed to Art Energie – 20, commemorating the 20th anniversary of SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) and to the opening ceremony of “Art Rising” at Azerbaijan’s National Art Museum. His latest exhibition, “RUH‘’(Spirit), opened in Baku’s Modern Art Centre on 17th of December 2018. In 2019, he started working with the French perfume brand Martin Micallef on the "art collection" series. Since June 2020, a limited edition of the artist's handicraft on the perfume under the name Martin Micallef and Ruh Zadeh has gone on sale.
