Taking inspiration from Walter Benjamin's essay "Angelus Novus" which analyzes a painting by Paul Klee from the work Angelus
Novus by Paul Klee. Benjamin describes the angel as one who searches the past. In it, the angel represents history, with his face turned to the past and his wings dragged towards the future by a storm, a symbol of progress that accumulates ruins. From this image Pilan's poetic thought unfolds, aimed at the recovery of a lost memory that is sedimented within us but which we can no longer find. His anthropomorphic creations represent not only human figures, but also archetypes that recall collective memory, underlining the importance of history and identity in art
