ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Acrylic paint on perspex, (using reverse glass painting technic). The inspiration is coming from a craving for Life, culture, remembering the beauty of traveling the world and pure Joy with a pinch of humor. I hope this painting is sharing joy and giving an uplifting feeling. I tried to paint freely and child like, (as Picasso always wanted to come back to that state of being and expression) using vibrant colours and only allowed myself to paint when I had some time to dance beforehand (to loosen up body & mind and feel joyous and relaxed, before I used my paint brushes. I like painting behind glass and perspex, because the colours become beautifully vibrant, the medium is different then usual and from a practical aspect it is long lasting and easy to clean. I love painting abstract because it gives the viewer and myself the freedom of mind and creativity of interpretation and meaning.
