In the tradition of Joan Miró and Robert Motherwell, Tiril paints by automatism—accessing material from the subconscious and unconscious mind as part of her creative process. The archetypal symbolism emerging from Tiril’s paintings has attracted international attention, and Tiril has exhibited widely and won awards in both the United States and Europe. She is a naturalized citizen of the United States and resides in Huntsville, Alabama.
