Born in Northern ireland 1953. Lived and was educated in England. Moved back to Northern Ireland in 1980. Growing up in England, my family and I returned to Northern Ireland every summer.This instilled in me a love for Ireland and I knew one day I would return.After finishing Teacher Training , I taught for a couple of years in England, then in 1980 my husband and I returned to Ireland. I taught music for thirty years in Belfast. During this time I painted intermittently ; between working full time and rearing my family.I finally decided to give up full time teaching in order to paint full time.It has been the best decision Iever made ! I am doing now what I always dreamed of. Painting is a continuous learning process and as such it is a lesson I continuosly enjoy.
