My children were the best stimulant for my creativity, my best partners, they were, and still are, my first interlocutors. As a mother I ask myself what do I trasmit them, which cultural baggage, what do I leave them in eredity. Here is why my research varies, and in the last ten years is more oriented towards social satire. - In the series where I use “Cages, Mousetraps and metal grids” I express through this materials all those social, cultural, religious and mental cages which are imposed to us, or which we impose to ourselves. Through this form of expression, I want the observer to interrogate himself and make questions. I do not point the finger, I only provide a point of view from which the observer can analyse and know the message that the artwork transmits. This because artworks are a “mean of communication”. My social commitment, as a volunteer in the Pediatrics sector of a Hospital, and before working at the European School of Oncology, have approached me to sufferings and discomforts of humans, to social and economic differences, to physical and mental pain. This route led me to engage myself, as a Woman in Black, for the defence of Human Rights, and Women Rights in particular. - This series of paintings is a distillation of an awareness I experienced during my years working. In this series of paintings, the brush marks themselves take precedence and build their own image, a visual record and expression of subjective moments. They are the color of moments. Each brush mark occupies its own space in time, in harmony with the others. The completed image they become is their shared space in time within the boundaries of a painting. In my series "Vortex" express a state of mind, hard to explain. No head, but belly, the moods that surround the emotional sphere. Feelings of joy, anger, confusion, apathy, panic, solidarity, love, etc. In short, the "drop in" emotion, and not knowledgeable, more often express, often use words like "are pissed," he is so happy that it "lights up" etc.
