About The Artwork
The painting is based on a photo from the archiv of the historic workers settlement of nahalal in jezreel valley. I isolated the couple from a an old group photo and set them in a present location of the ruin of the community center which will be rebuild soon. There is a outbreak of rabies presently in jezreel valley. Rabies is used as a metapher in the painting, standing for anxiety of past and future.
