About The Artwork
This work uses rope as a drawing tool to explore formal elements of picture making tone, colour, line, edge. It has come about as the result of experiments with rope as a texture generating medium. Rope has been a useful tool in the arsenal for making Art for Centuries and I am enjoying my own journey in discovering its uses. I hope viewers will be drawn into the cosmos like surface of this piece and enjoy the interplay of forms. I chose this style because of an interest in the creative effects of spray can art.
