I represent my grandfather's creativity. Merinov Alexey Iosifovich (1942 - 2018). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1977. Born on March 8, 1942 in the village of Lyubitskoe, Kursk Region. From 1952 he studied at the Art School of Kursk. The course in the art-graphic school of the city of Kursk was not completed, Merinov was expelled for disciplinary and academic reasons. He worked as designer for about two years (slinger, painter). At the end of 1965, he became a student at the Art School of Arts and Graphics of Simferopol in 1968. After completing his studies, he moved to Yalta and began working as a graphic artist. Since 1972, he began his work in the fund of the Simferopol Museum, where he was engaged in the restoration and copies of paintings. Since 1971 — the participant of republican exhibitions. Moving to the Moscow region marks the year 1984 in the artist's life. 1991 — Exhibition of the Foundation of Culture, Finland, Denmark, Austria. The painter was included in it by academician Likhachev together with other artists. He exhibited his works in various galleries of the region, Kiev and cities of Russia. Favorite theme in the works of landscapes of native spaces, as well as written a lot of still lifes. Actively exhibiting at the Republican, regional, All-Russian exhibitions, where his works have been repeatedly noted by experts in painting. Works are kept in the Sevastopol Art Museum. M. P.
