ABOUT THE ARTWORK
After painting and playing with different technics in the background, I added the bird in it. It seems to me this was a good environment for this lovely young owl. It makes the atmosphere complete for a nature-scene-close-up. There are so many things we do not notice in nature with all his creatures, to paint them we can all enjoy it in this contemporary painting of a dutch artist. I use acrylic to start this painting. It dries fast and is a good underground to continue with oil. With a roller I painted the tree trunks, and with pouring medium the strange circles, the animal could be best painted in oil, with little color variations, and shades gradations.
