The work is part of a series of watercolor works, each showing a cellophane-conserved microcosm. This work titled "the gift" shows hornets in cellophane. The title plays with the ambiguity of the term. In English it means gift, in German it poisons poison. The viewer is confronted with his attitude towards nature and its protective inhabitants.
