About The Artwork

this is a mixed media painting that contains structural textile and painting . this piece was inspired by a flower leaf . I painted the leaf in the back groud to act as a witness. On the canvas I made macrame knots which increase in the size gradually to express the increase in affection each partner has for the other.. in the foreground of the painting are two strings which represent a man and a woman as initial lovers .but as they stay together , their love increases and i made a knot to represent it . after forces pulled them apart to depict the life struggles they face . in the next phase , I made another knot to bind them together again ,another force separated them apart and in the next phaseI made another knot which bind them together again and hence the fulfill o f the promise they made to each other at the start .i used bright colours in the foreground to represent happy times at the start .middle colour to represent moderate moments and dark colours to represent hard times ..i made the knot sizes gradually increase in size to represent the growth in the forces of attachment and hence bring out the bound that holds the man and woman together
