Color Study. This color study is about the wonderful aspects of ultramarine blue (Yves Klein Blue), a color that stands for freedom, width, lightness, freshness. We can associate the sea, the sky or the clouds and the open unknown. It is a color, that soothes and relaxes and that makes us dream. I love this special kind of blue very much and this study shows the different aspects of blue shimmering through. On Paper size 40x40 cm (15,7x15,7 inches), the inner side of the passepartout is 21x21 cm (8,3x8,3 inches), the silver frame shown on the photos is 50x50cm (19,7x19,7 inches). Signature is part of the picture. The paper is a little torn on the left side, that will be hidden behind any passepartout. The painting comes as a sheet of paper with 50x50 cm removable passepartout, the photo shows just an example, what it can look like in a frame. Collectors should choose their own frame, the frame could be even larger and doesn´t have to be square, but the inner frame of the passepartout should be square. Black frames would also look very good. © 2016 Gesa Reuter - All rights reserved

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
