vogelfrei is a colorful mixed media painting ( 2 pieces ) on cardboard. Each painting is 20 x 20 cm ( 7,87 x 7,87 in ). The 2 paintings are framed, each in a white frame 25 x 25 cm (9,84 x9,84 in ), 4,5 cm ( 1,77 in ) deep. The artwork is ready to hang. "Art, freedom and creativity will change society faster than politics." Victor Pinchuk said. "vogelfrei" means free like birds. In my artwork birds represent having wings of possibilities, freedom of flight, precision and timing, perspektive, vision and individuality. Imagine the feeling of being a bird and flying high! In "vogelfrei" I used expressive thick brush strokes, then I added gestural writing using soft pastels. The meaning of the word "vogelfrei" becomes part of the painting. I transfer the letters literally onto the canvas; solidifying the message. The artwork is signed ( each painting ) and will be sent to you with a signed certificate of authenticity.
